Hungrygrape Wine Tasting and Networking Event with Private Dinner on May 13th!
Hungrygrape.com is hosting a wine tasting/networking event at Maggiano’s Italian Restaurant in Tysons Corner, Virginia on May 13th, 2010. This event is limited to 60 attendees and will include the following:
This tasting event will explore the wines of Italy while covering the basics of what to look for when tasting wine. You will probably discover a new wine from Italy that you have not heard of before. The format will be a "blind" tasting. For each "flight" of wines, you will have one wine poured into each of your two glasses. For example, the first two wines will be white wines from different parts of Italy. You will be provided notes that describe the characteristics and expected tastes of the wines. Based on this you will try to identify the respective wines from the descriptions and your tasting. You will be guided through each tasting, discussing how to taste wine and the special characteristics of each wine.
- Wine tasting and education led by Hungrygrape.com partner Paul Jameson of Jameson Wine Experience.
- Networking before and during the dinner/tasting.
- Full-size commemorative wine glass and wine scorecard/notes.
- Sit down all you can eat dinner in private room including:
- Choice of appetizers
- Choice of entrées

- Coffee/tea (gratuity not included)

Public GRAND TASTING of the Top 100 Cabs of the Napa Valley
Join us as we taste the judges choices for the "Best of the Best" Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley at Napa's top restaurant, Bayleaf Restaurant on Saturday, February 13, 2010, from 3 to 6pm.
Meet winery owners and winemakers as they proudly pour their prize-winning Cabs while you enjoy fabulous hors d'ouevres in a beautiful and romantic setting. Enjoy the facilities of the entire restaurant with quaint rooms and plenty of seating to relax and savor the flavors of wine and food. Did we mention that hors d'ouevres are included?
The judges will be tasting and scoring over 400 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon wines several days prior to the event. They will be ranked from 1 to 100 and you can taste them all ...well, as many as are possible. Please don't drink and drive and drink responsibly.
