HungryGrape.com was created with the vision of bringing together recommendations by users for great recipes, wines, and restaurants in one location. Both of us, along with our spouses, balance family and busy careers. Trying to find time to prepare a meal, let alone pick out a bottle of wine, was challenging. The more we talked about it the more we realized that planning the meal was the as difficult if not more difficult than actually preparing it. Everyone we knew seemed to have a great family recipe that has been passed down, a friend with a great recipe, or a wonderful wine recommendation. We decided to try to bring together the collective knowledge of our friends (new and old) and family in a fun, free, easy-to-use website. We also recognize that we all need a break from the kitchen so we incorporated a recommendation section for restaurants. The site is the result of an idea that grew into a labor of love. Neither of us are talented cooks and we are hardly wine experts but we are persistent, we love to eat, and we enjoy sharing what we learn. If you have a suggestion for the site please let us know.
